In development

Maryann has a new children’s book series in development seeking a publisher:

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit

  • Picture book for young children, aged approximately 4-8 years old.
  • Central character of Aunty Mary visits her 18 nieces and nephews to take them on adventures.
  • Showcasing LGBTQIA+ representation with an Aunty role model within the wider family unit (as opposed to most current titles centring around queer parents or gay animal characters)
  • The series sets an example of young children embracing their queer relatives, and celebrates compassion, kindness, creativity, and acceptance.
  • Currently set in Australia, with the protagonist (Aunty Mary) visiting from her home in London.

The series currently includes five sample books:

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit – Theatre

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit – Aussie Outback

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit – Games

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit – Gardening

Aunty Mary Comes To Visit – Holidays
